Clark State is going on the road and partnering with The Holland Theatre in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to bring you an uplifting, energetic and hauntingly beautiful bluegrass music concert with Bearfoot!
Call it new-timey, call it post-bluegrass, call it string band music for the 21st century-whatever the name, look to the center of where string band traditions meet youthful creativity and that’s where you’ll find this Alaskan-formed quintet. As they enter their second decade with a new Nashville home and a new lineup, Bearfoot has taken their place among the best and brightest of a new generation of musicians reshaping American roots music. Opening for Bearfoot is the Mad River Valley Dulcimer Society featuring a mix of folk, gospel and contemporary tunes using Appalachian lap dulcimers, hammered dulcimers, mandolins, guitars, autoharps and a marimbula.

Benefit for Japan at the Holland Theatre. The concert will headline Jim Greer and the Mac-O-Chee Valley Folks, along with many other entertainment acts. All of the performers are donating their services. Ticket pricing will be announced soon. All proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross and to UNICEF for the purchase of School in a Box kits for the Japanese school children.
The Logan County community has a special closeness to the people of Japan due to Honda of America and the many automotive suppliers in the area with Japanese roots. We have become friends with many of the people from that land who have lived here. We hope that this benefit can help in a very small way to ease some of the burden.
The event is being sponsored by Reliant Mechanical. It is hosted by the International Friendship Center, the Logan County Chamber of Commerce, the Hilliker YMCA and the Logan County Landmark Preservation, Inc.

The Holland Theatre and Windmill Productions are looking for actors and actresses that would like to be in their newest production. The play is "Murder at the Company Party", a murder spoof. It will be offered for company Christmas parties in November and December.
Needed are 5 men: 1 in his fifties; 1 teenage boy; 1 in his 20s, 1 in his 50s or older and 1 any age, and 3 women: 1 in her 20s; 1 in her 50s; and 1 in late 40s.
Actors will need to interact with the audience and adlib within their characters.
Auditions will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Holland Theatre. To schedule an appointment, please call the Holland Theatre at 937-592-9002 between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Monday.

4. Junior and Miss Oktoberfest of the West are required to answer a question in the pageant. They will need a “western or country outfit.”
